Manage User Profiles

Covers how administrators can view, edit, and maintain user details within the Global Console, ensuring profiles stay accurate and aligned with groups and permissions.

Overview

Once users are added to the Global Console (https://global.revvy.io/users), administrators can manage their profiles from the Users page. Each user profile contains essential information such as name, email, status, assigned group, and last updated time. This ensures that user details, group assignments, and access levels remain accurate as your teams evolve.

Viewing User Profiles

  • From the Users page, you’ll see a table listing all registered users.

  • Each row displays:

    • User name

    • Email address

    • Status (Confirmed, ForceResetPassword)

    • Group assignment (e.g., SystemAdministrator, Release Manager)

    • Last updated date

This overview provides a quick audit of who has access and what level of permissions they hold.

Editing User Information

  1. Locate the user you want to update in the list.

  2. Open their profile and click edit to update details.

  3. You can:

    • Change the user’s group assignment (for example, moving a user from SystemAdministrator to another Groups).

    • Reset a password if the user is locked out or flagged by providing temporary password.

    • Update name or email if changes are required.

Any updates are applied immediately and reflected in the user’s status.

Password Management

  • If a password reset is triggered (e.g., via ForceResetPassword), the user will need to log in again with their temporary credentials and set a new password.

  • This ensures security while maintaining a clear audit of changes.

Best Practices

  • Regularly review user profiles to confirm that group assignments align with current roles.

  • Remove outdated accounts to avoid unnecessary license usage.

  • Use groups strategically to manage permissions at scale instead of editing individuals frequently.
