Remove Users from a Group
Explains how administrators can remove users from groups to revoke inherited permissions.
Overview
Removing a user from a group automatically revokes the permissions assigned through that group’s role. This ensures users only retain access that matches their responsibilities.
Viewing Group Details
Navigate to the Groups page at https://global.revvy.io/groups.
Click on a group name (e.g., SystemAdministrator).
The Group Overview page displays:
Group Name, Role, and Description
Created/Updated timestamps
Current members and their details (name, email, last updated)
This page is your single view to manage who belongs to the group.
Steps to Remove Users
Navigate to the Groups page at https://global.revvy.io/groups.
Select the group where the user is assigned.
Click Edit to modify membership.
In the Users section, find the user to be removed.
Click the Delete (trash can) icon next to their name.
Save changes to update group membership.
Best Practices
Always assign and manage permissions via groups instead of direct role assignment.
Audit group memberships regularly to ensure only the right users retain elevated access.
Use descriptive group names (e.g., System Administrators, Release Managers) for clarity and governance.
